About This Project

College Station staff leadership desired to create a conceptual master plan for City property near the current Police Station to determine the best approach to developing a new City Center.  This would include new Municipal Offices, greatly expanded Police facilities, added buildings for Public Works, while rethinking both vehicular and pedestrian circulation on the property.  Adjacent to Central Park on the East, this property has frontage on Texas Avenue, Krenek Tap Road, and Dartmouth.  The solution maintained the Police Component but planned two expansions to meet their rapidly changing needs.  The dominant Municipal Buildings were arranged facing the corner of Krenek Tap and Dartmouth adjacent to the beginning of the Park.  The purpose of the planning was to evaluate all the factors involved and to determine the best development plan over time.  The information was provided to the City Council for inclusion in their annual budget considerations.
