About This Project
The Arkitex Studio, a Bryan-College Station architecture firm, was commissioned to renovate the city of Bryan’s oldest and most active park and “Path of Presidents.” The architectural design of the path includes stone pylons with bronze plaques that have a relief bust and famous quotes from all of the former presidents. The pylons are spaced along the edge of a meandering, landscaped plaza with space for future presidents. The renovation included a new bandstand pavilion that was placed in the center of a new pond with fountains. An amphitheater plaza complements the bandstand. The 17.6-acre site also includes new horseshoe pits; renovated tennis and basketball courts; a new concession, restroom and storage building; new playground surface and equipment; a new parking lot; and new landscaping for the entire site.
