Brooke Whitehurst, Associate AIA, joined The Arkitex Studio in May 2019, following her graduation from Texas A&M University. She graduated with a Master of Architecture degree and a Certificate in Health Systems and Design, and her final master’s project focused on the problem of homelessness, as she has always had a passion for helping the less fortunate and is extremely grateful to have found a career that combines the ability to help others with the beauty of creativity.
Brooke also earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University in May of 2016 with a minor in Business and a minor in Art and Architectural History. She is a member of the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society and is an Aggie through and through.
Brooke married Preston Whitehurst, a nurse at the local hospital, in March 2019 during her master’s program, and they opted to stay in the Bryan-College Station area after her graduation. They are actively involved in the Aggieland Christian Church and enjoy traveling, serving the poor, and the occasional Office marathon.
