Charlie Burris has been involved in all aspects of architectural practice for over 40 years, with a particular interest in creative thinking, all forms of communication, and regional vernacular architecture. The latter unites character from the past with the simplicity of modern design, all rooted in historic Texas forms. As a creative thinker, he leads the firm’s design emphasis based on a foundation of technical expertise. His role emphasizes conceptual design, establishing project vision, space planning, master planning, with a sincere desire to serve people.
Charlie has a longstanding community commitment and has been involved various local civic committees and efforts. Professionally, he is also a two-time past president of AIA Brazos, two-time vice-president of the Texas Society of Architects, former director on the TxA Board, and has served as chair and member of various TxA committees including the Design Committee currently. A longtime member of Central Baptist Church he serves in various leadership capacities. Charlie is a registered architect (#7904 TX) and is certified by the National Council Of Architectural Registration Boards (#30461).
