Mike Record

AIA

Mike Record, AIA, joined The Arkitex Studio in 1997 and is a Principal-In-Charge and Owner overseeing project operations and quality control. He leads many of the firm’s higher education, municipal, and private commercial projects. Before joining Arkitex, Mike attended Texas A&M University, earning his Bachelor of Environmental Design in 1987. He has previous experience at Ray Bailey Architects in Houston, Texas, and LeMay Associates in Fairfax, Virginia. 

Mike is involved in the America Institute of Architects (AIA) as a national, state, and local chapter member, serving as President of AIA Brazos in 2001. He is a Registered Architect in Texas, license #14376. Mike has received awards for his design of the 120 Main Project and the TDI Brooks project. His projects of note include the TAMU Computing Service Center and Astin Aviation.

Mike enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, woodworking, and mountain biking when he isn’t working. He has served as the Head Coach of the Bryan/College Station High School Mountain Bike Team for the past ten years and is an active Brazos Valley Mountain Bike Association member.
