Mike joined The Arkitex Studio in 1997 after working in Reston, Virginia and Houston. Mike’s experience while working at Bailey Architects in Houston included monumental projects such as San Jacinto Monument Renovations and Washington on the Brazos State Historical Park.
Mike is responsible for quality and technical control in the firm in addition to code review and director of personnel. He is an excellent practitioner, with keen attention to details. His design work for the 120 Main Street Renovation project received the 2005 Excellence in Architecture Merit award from AIA Brazos.
Mike is a member of the Texas Society of Architects, the American Institute of Architects and served as President of the Brazos Chapter of the AIA. He currently serves as Mentor/Advisor for the Emerging Professionals Committee. An avid cyclist, Mike is a coach for the A&M Consolidated High School and College Station High School mountain bike teams.
