Historic Adaptive Project
Situated downtown in Bryan, the notable Astin Building, built in 1915 as a bank, is 12,500 square feet and five levels. In 2006, a comprehensive historical study, aimed at unveiling its original outward appearance, resulted in a full restoration for the interior and exterior.

Over time, the client's requirements evolved, leading to a significant expansion of the project's scope. Consequently, the building's interior harmoniously melds historical elements with contemporary finishes and the addition of a back-up generator safeguards the tenant’s high-tech work. Arkitex Studio collaborated closely with the City of Bryan fire and code officials to successfully resolve several intricate life-safety concerns.
