The design for this project started immediately before the 2020 Pandemic began. Due to pandemic construction cost escalations, careful attention was given to the cost estimates during design. Local contractors gave cost input, and it became apparent the rapid rise in costs would make the original budget untenable for the scope of work.

Arkitex Studio worked with the Owner to prioritize elements of the program and reduce where possible and organized the drawings to provide several alternatives to give the Owner flexibility on cost and scope of work. Top on the list of important elements was making sure the design considered the existing buildings, drive-through bays for the maintenance staff, and the Sexton Sales Office, which will be open to the public.
