Faith-Based Project
Central wanted to their youth ministry space in Wing A of their existing facility. Previous design work had been done, but a long pause and a change of leadership led to new thoughts about how to approach the design.
Arkitex worked closely with the client to discern the new direction, make changes in the previous design, and select new finishes. Part of the change of design direction included the removal of most of the acoustical panel ceilings and reworking of mechanical systems to provide a higher ceiling.
Most of the ceilings in these areas are now painted black and the space lit with suspended LED lighting. Spaces on the first floor were designed and finished to accommodate multiples uses by all of the church, whereas the 2nd floor is dedicated entirely to the youth ministry.
