About This Project
In order to better meet the needs of their congregation and provide a welcoming and family friendly space to their community, FUMC Huntsville set out to replace their existing fellowship hall and Sunday school classrooms with a new Community Life Center. The new three floor Center includes a Multi-use space that can be utilized for worship, fellowship events, and recreational activities including basketball and volleyball and is served by a new commercial kitchen. The second floor houses six Sunday school classrooms and a coffee bar, while the third floor provides two large youth common spaces, four youth classrooms, and office space for the youth director. The Community Life Center is connected to the existing Sanctuary building by an elevated covered walkway. Circulation within the existing building was modified to allow access to the new building without passing through the Sanctuary space itself.
